At Duxbury Dance Shoppe, we’re excited to unveil our new competition teams, where passion, talent, and dedication come together to create extraordinary performances. Our competition teams are designed for dancers who are ready to take their skills to the next level and showcase their artistry on a larger stage.

- Mini Tuition: $75 per month
- Junior Tuition: $100 per month
- Elite Tuition: $150 per month
- Competition Entry Fee: There will be a competition entry fee once the competitions have been chosen and finalized.
- Added Expenses: Team Jackets, Backpacks, & Costumes
Competition team Requirements
Being a part of these teams are a vital part of the history, reputation, and representation of Duxbury Dance Shoppe. That being said, it is important for all involved (dancers and dance families) to understand the requirements and commitments that come with being a part of this team. If you are chosen to be a part of one of our 2025-2026 competition teams, you will be required to follow these requirements.
Follow the Duxbury Dance Shoppe Terms & Conditions that were signed at the
Attendance
- No more than 2 absences from July through August & 5 absences from September through June. If you are to be absent, please notify your coach(es). This attendance policy applies to other classes registered for outside of team.
- Attendance is still required if you have an injury that allows you to watch.
Attire
- Black dance garments (Wearing dance shorts… tights must be worn!)
- Hair is in a secure bun
- Loose jewelry is left at home
Friday/ Saturday Practices
Members may be asked to have an occasional Friday or Saturday practice approaching competition. You will be notified in advance for these practices.
Competition
Duxbury Dance Shoppe will be competing in 2-3 competitions this year.
Classes/Experience
- Dancers must be registered for age level…
- Jazz/Tap class
- Contemporary class
- Acro class (not required, HIGHLY encouraged)
- Ballet class (not required, HIGHLY encouraged)
- Dancers must be a dancer at DDS for at least one full year.
Positive Attitude
Bring a positive attitude to team practice each week.
Respect
- Show respect to your Duxbury Dance Shoppe coaches.
- Show respect to your Duxbury Dance Shoppe teammates.
Loyalty
Do not take dance classes/ compete/ perform at another dance studio. Being a member of the dance team means that you represent Duxbury Dance Shoppe.
A contract containing the above information will be handed out at the first team practice of preseason.
